The contracts cover parts and labor costs for hundreds of component parts and systems of new and pre-owned vehicles.

If you’ve ever experienced an unexpected vehicle breakdown, you know the inconvenience and expense involved. Just one major repair can cost you considerable time and money — unless you have a Vehicle Service Contract. Investing in one of our plans is a smart decision to protect yourself from the increasingly high costs of vehicle repairs. It'll keep your costs down on unexpected repairs and keep your vehicle running down the road.

Note: This brochure gives a general overview of the Vehicle Service Contract. Certain restrictions and exclusions apply. Coverages may differ in certain states. Please consult your service contract for full, current provisions and coverages.

Gasoline engine: All internally lubricated parts, including: Pistons, piston rings, wrist pins and bushings, connecting rods and rod bearings, crankshaft and main bearings, camshaft, cam chains, cam bearings and cam cover. Timing chain, gears, tensioner and guide. Variable valve timing parts, rocker arms, shafts and bushings, rocker arm pivots, adjustment screws, spring and tension controller. Valves, valve seats, valve springs, valve spring retainers, valve guides, valve push rods and hydraulic valve lifters. Oil pump, oil pump drive, shaft and gears, seals and gaskets. Plus these non-internally lubricated component parts: Water pump, fuel pump, valve covers, timing belt, timing chain/belt cover. Cylinder head, engine block and rotor housings.¹ Coolant, lubricants and oil filter.²
Diesel engine component parts: All of the above covered parts. Plus diesel fuel injection pump, fuel injectors, fuel lines and vacuum pump.

In addition to the above component parts, new vehicle coverage adds: Fuel tank and lines, fuel injectors, oil pan, dipstick and tube, engine mounts, air pump, flywheel, ring gear, flex plate, harmonic balancer, pulleys, vacuum pump, radiator, intake and exhaust manifolds, cooling fan and fan clutch. Turbocharger/supercharger housing and all internal parts.

Automatic transmission: All internally lubricated parts including: Bands, pump, pump housing, carrier assembly, planetary gears, drums, reaction shaft and governor. Internal linkage, valve body, torque converter, servo assemblies and vacuum modulator, seals and gaskets. Transmission case.¹ Fluids, lubricants and filter.²
Manual transmission: All internally lubricated parts including: Main shaft, center shaft, all gears, input shaft, hub assemblies, synchronizers, shift rails, shift forks, internal linkage and bearings, seals and gaskets. Transmission case.¹ Fluids, lubricants and filter.²
Four wheel drive transfer case: All internally lubricated parts within the transfer case, seals and gaskets. Transfer case housing.¹ Lubricants.²

In addition to the above component parts, new vehicle coverage adds: Transmission mounts, oil pan, filler tube and dipstick and instant on transfer case operating systems.

Front and rear suspension component parts: Upper and lower control arm, shafts and bushings, double wishbone assembly, upper and lower ball joints. Wheel bearings, steering knuckle, king pins, torsion bars, stabilizer bars, track bar, links and bushings. Spindle and spindle support, seals and gaskets.

In addition to the above component parts, new vehicle coverage adds: Coil springs and leaf springs, electronic level control compressor, sensor and limiter valve, automatic/semi-automatic and manually operated hub assemblies.

Front and rear wheel drive component parts: All internally lubricated parts including: Bearings, gears, thrust washers and spacers, limited slip posi-traction rear and front axle assemblies. Axle shafts, axle bearings, constant velocity joints and boots, universal joints, seals and gaskets. Final drive housing.¹ Lubricants.²

In addition to the above component parts, new vehicle coverage adds: Flex-disc, propeller shaft and center support bearing.

A mechanical breakdown plan which includes all Powertrain Plan coverage, plus:

Alternator, voltage regulator, starter motor, starter drive and starter solenoid or starter relay. Electric fuel pump, distributor, wiper motor(s) (front and rear), electronic ignition system, distributorless ignition system and computerized timing control unit and sensors.

A mechanical breakdown plan which includes all Powertrain Plus Plan coverage, plus:

Gasoline & Diesel engine: Fuel tank and lines, fuel injectors, oil pan, dipstick and tube, engine mounts, air pump, flywheel, ring gear, flex plate, harmonic balancer, pulleys, vacuum pump, intake and exhaust manifolds, radiator, cooling fan and fan clutch, seals and gaskets. Turbocharger/supercharger housing and all internal parts.

Transmission mounts, filler tube and dipstick, instant on transfer case operating systems, oil pan, seals and gaskets.

Suspension System

Coil springs and leaf springs, electronic level control compressor, sensor and limiter valve, automatic/semi-automatic and manually operated hub assemblies, seals and gaskets.

Drive Axle

Steering box, rack and pinion assembly, power steering pump, power steering hoses, power cylinder valves and bearings, pitman arm, idler arm, tie rods and center link, steering column shaft, shaft coupling and bearings, radius arm, adjustable steering column/tilt wheel mechanism, tie rod adjusting sleeve, four wheel steering system components and parts, seals and gaskets. Fluids and lubricants.¹

Compressor clutch, coil and pulley, dryer/ accumulator, condenser, compressor, evaporator, idler pulley, idler bearing, expansion valve, temperature control programmer, orifice, high-low cutoff switches, pressure cycling switch, heater core, air conditioner in-line filter, seals and gaskets. Refrigerant and refrigeration oil.¹

Master cylinder, vacuum assist booster, hydroboost and accumulator, wheel cylinder, flexible hydraulic lines and fittings, power brake cylinder, compensating valve, load distribution valves, disc calipers and backing plates. Self adjusters, parking brake linkage and cables, anti-lock brake system components and parts, seals and gaskets. Brake fluid.¹

Manually operated switches, factory installed power sunroof motor, factory installed clock, wiper motor relay, wiper delay controller, power window motor, power seat motor, headlight motor, convertible top motor, electronic fuel injection components, rear window defogger switch and relay, rear window defogger grid control, cruise control system components and parts. Engine cooling fan motor, blower motor, power door lock actuator, horn button and horns, fuel gauge and sending unit, analog gauges, power mirror motors, factory installed power antenna and power antenna relay and power point accessory outlet. Wiring harnesses, electronic instrument cluster, mileage computer, electronic combination entry system, factory installed anti-theft system and driver voice alert message center.

Hood release cable, trunk release cable and actuator, hood hinges, door hinges and trunk hinges. Supplemental safety restraint components and parts.

²As a result of the Environmental Protection Agency’s ruling, the production of freon (R-12) refrigerant ended in 1995. The cost of future air conditioning repairs may become very expensive. If system has R-12 refrigerant, R-12 will be used for replacement while supplies last. If R-12 is not available, the system will be converted to use R-134A or an equivalent EPA approved alternative refrigerant. This applies only in conjunction with a covered air conditioning repair.

An all-risk mechanical breakdown plan which includes all Preferred Plan coverage, plus:

Oil pressure switch/sending unit, fuel pressure regulator, fuel distributor, freeze plugs, air pump pulley, air pump mounting bracket, radiator fan relay switch, radiator cap, coolant switch, thermostat, cooling fan shroud, charcoal canister, EGR valve, EGR control and engine-accessory mounting brackets.

Vacuum switch (4WD), pressure plate assembly, clutch release bearing/release bearing retainer, shift cable/detent cable, linkage, transmission computer, transmission solenoid, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, shifter assembly/shift knob, transmission cooler and cooler lines.

Lug bolt/lug nut, McPherson struts, McPherson strut pivot bearing and air suspension bag.

Power steering speed sensor, steering damper, steering accessory mounting brackets.

Air conditioner lines, pressure switch, air conditioner relay, air conditioner thermostat, temperature controls, automatic temperature control sensor, water control valve, ducts and outlets and vent motor/duct motor.

Fuel pump pulsator, fuel pump relay, wind-shield washer pump and motor, power seat cable/transmission/solenoid, engine cooling fan relay/thermosensor, transmission control spark switch, radio/ audio, radio speakers, speed sensor, resistors, other relays, other modules, fuseable link, neutral safety switch and turn signal flasher/hazard flasher.

Trunk pull-down motor, door release handle, door lock linkages, door latch mechanism, door stay, door mirror, door mirror-manual remote control, interior rear view mirror assembly, window regulator, window sash/run channel, window crank handle, speedometer cable, speedometer, tachometer, interior light assemblies, exterior light assemblies, chime/chime module/ buzzer, lumbar bag air pump and wiper transmission/wiper arm.

All parts are covered with these exceptions: The normal maintenance services and parts required or recommended by your vehicle manufacturer. Other normal maintenance services and parts including engine tune up, suspension alignment, wheel balancing and filters. Other parts not covered: Glass, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, wheels, wheel covers, tires, interior trim, moldings, bright metal parts, sheet metal, flexible body parts, weather strips, upholstery, convertible and/or vinyl top, paint, rust, physical damage, catalytic converter, exhaust system, brake rotors and drums, wiper blades, hoses, shock absorbers, batteries, carburetor, and throttle body assembly (except the injectors). Spark/glow plugs, drive belts, brake pads, brake linings and shoes and manual clutch disc lining. In addition, repairs of water and air leaks, rattles, squeaks and wind noise; alignment of body parts, bumpers and glass are not covered. Any parts or components which are not factory installed are not covered.
